The setup

The backdrop before the guests arrived: two pink arches under an Oh Baby neon, balloon garlands down both sides, a satin bow, and a giant teddy bear at the foot of it
Favor boxes wrapped in cellophane with dried flowers on top, stacked on rose gold stands beside rows of tasselled cones

The guest of honour

The guest of honour with her family at the pink backdrop, a young girl in a rose dress standing between them
The guest of honour in a pink dress with both hands under the bump, looking down, the Oh Baby neon lit behind her

Her people

Two of them standing cheek to cheek at the backdrop, one with a hand resting on the bump
The guest of honour and one guest turned toward each other under the neon, a hand laid gently on the bump
The guest of honour laughing between two guests, all three with their hands on the bump at once
Four guests lined up in pink against the balloon arch, the guest of honour second from the left
Five guests crowded in close around the guest of honour, every hand in the frame resting on the bump
Two guests holding hands and turning to the camera on either side of the giant teddy bear at the backdrop

The story

The tent was done in a single colour. Two arched panels in deep and pale pink with an Oh Baby neon across them, balloon garlands running the full height on both sides with eucalyptus and roses tucked into the gaps, a satin bow down the middle, and a bear very nearly as tall as the backdrop sitting at the foot of it.

The favor table was built to match: rose gold stands, pink boxes under cellophane with dried flowers tied on top, and rows of tasselled cones lined up along the front edge.

Then the guests arrived, nearly all of them in pink, and the backdrop did the job it was built for. She was photographed there with her family, then on her own under the neon, then in twos, and finally with everyone crowded in at once and every hand in the frame resting on the bump.
