The story
El Scorpion Canyon late in the afternoon, with the hillside behind them turned completely gold. A toddler on each hip, and all four of them looking down the lens at the same time, which with two this small is mostly a matter of waiting for it.
Then the youngest wanted to walk. The second frame is her and her dad heading off down the gravel, one hand up in his, boots moving as fast as they will go, and nobody paying the camera any attention at all. That one is usually the keeper.
