The story
Twintree Garden grows lavender in long rows, and for about twenty minutes at the end of the day the whole field goes soft while the sun burns out through the trees at the back of it. That is the frame worth driving for, and it does not wait around.
The rest of the session was close in. Both of them holding him between them, the light coming from behind so it catches the top of his hair, and all three laughing at something he had just done rather than at anyone holding a camera. Neither of these was posed.
