The story
The Carrus House gave her two backdrops and she used both. The first was the courtyard, a boxwood wall with shuttered windows set into it and string lights running overhead, with the uplighting turned lilac to match the dress.
The gown does most of the talking. Off the shoulder, lilac tulle under a drift of three-dimensional flowers that starts at the bodice and keeps going all the way to the hem, with a jeweled bouquet built in the same palette. A good stretch of the evening went on holding that skirt out and turning in it, which is exactly what it was made for.
The rest happened at the flower wall, under a Happy Birthday neon sign and a garland of lilac and white roses. Crown, crystal necklace, and a grin that never really let up.
