The story

The room was finished long before anyone sat down. A draped blush and gold backdrop with a gilded oval frame in the middle of it, her initial set inside in glitter, candelabras standing either side, and a dessert table with her name printed on every tag and box on it.

Etage Venue gave her the rest. A white and gold head table under a ring chandelier, a tufted throne chair at the centre of it, and rows of tapers running the length of the mirrored wall. The smaller guest in matching pink and her own crown stayed close for most of the evening.

Then they cleared the floor and filled it with low fog for the father-daughter dance, and the two of them stayed out in the middle of it long enough that the tables stopped talking. It is photographed from both sides here, because neither angle tells the whole thing on its own.
