The story

They married outdoors in the late afternoon, under a wooden hexagon arch dressed with white drapery and a shoulder of garden roses and eucalyptus. The light was still high and warm when they said yes, and every phone in the first two rows went up at once.

The walk back was the loudest part of the day. Guests emptied little bags of rose petals over them from both sides of the aisle, and neither of them stopped grinning the entire way. Tito had his head down laughing, Leslie held her lilies high.

Portraits happened afterwards while the reception filled up: a few quiet frames under her veil with the sun coming through it, then down to the garden waterfall with her train laid out across the stone. The wedding party came along for the last set, under the evergreens, and behaved exactly as well as you'd expect.
