The story
Natalie got ready first, and the bouquet made the room: white garden roses and plum-throated calla lilies spilling well past her hands, against the lace of a halter gown. It set the palette for everything that followed.
The ceremony was under a tent with a full wall of white blooms behind them, and the recessional came out of it at a near-run: both of them laughing, arms linked, the whole tent on its feet.
Then everyone walked out to the park while the sun dropped. The wedding party lined up in emerald and cream guayaberas with the light coming sideways through the eucalyptus, and the last frames of the night were the two of them heading up the path with their hands in the air, which is, honestly, the picture of the whole day.
